Okay – I confess. I have a sweet tooth. I blame it on my mother who has a true, heaven sent talent when it comes to making desserts. Today I’ll take Snickers over a turnip without thinking about it. To this very day I can hardly wait to get the main meal behind me so I can have dessert.

When it comes to candy I’ve always preferred sweet candy to sour candy. Smarties; Sweetarts; Nerds; Zots are way to sour for me. Give me the sweet stuff! Have you noticed when it comes to attitude and perceptions about life some people see life as being either sweet or sour? The amazing thing is attitude/perception isn’t tied to how much money you have. Attitude/perception is simply an overflow of the heart. A heart that has been sweetened by thankfulness and appreciation is the heart that sees the glass half full not half empty.

Let’s commit to shape the attitude/perception around EBC that comes out of our hearts that have been sweetened by Jesus. Let’s also make sure as we gather each Lord’s day to create an environment where guest immediately sense EBC is a sweet place to come to escape a very sour world. I know we can make a difference!

Can’t wait to see you Easter Sunday!!
